The integration of a Pay-logic processing center with Expressbank was connected with the necessity to provide the possibility to paying for public services, utility bills, cellular communications, Internet, insurance and other services using various channels such as ATMs, payment kiosks, e-wallets, web applications, etc. The main customer of this payment solution was Central bank of Azerbaijan Republic, which chose Expressbank as the partner for the implementation of this functionality at kiosk networks.

Expressbank is the leading bank in Azerbaijan, has wide network of branches - 16 offices. Bank supports 4000 POS-terminals, owns the most extensive network of self-service banking kiosks in the region, running on Pay-logic software. These accepting payments tools always ready for operations for businesses and individual customers 24/7.

Soft-logic company carried out number of specific tasks that allowed to provide high-quality services for receiving payments, with individual refinement of components to the needs of the customer

Custom commission fee processing algorithm


Under normal circumstances commission fee for payments is calculated on the side of the payment processing. Set flat rate on the commission of the service provider. However, at the customer requirements commission should be set by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, in this case the commission fee changes dynamically and continuously, it is necessary to maintain the current commission rate.
It was necessary to finalize the server and new algorithm for processing commission fee - implementation of the interaction between server and kiosk, special requests. In processing center system it is noted that the commission is calculated at the provider’s side.


Grouping services for the convenience of end users


The gateway was finalized with the addition of the functionality of grouping services by service groups, for the convenience of users choosing. Implemented a large number of services, with a variety of payment scenarios. It was necessary to refine the requests for invoices for filtering by the requested service group, requests for the service group selector.


Refinement and implementation of services



  • Customization of the functionality of selective or group payment for services. At the request of the provider advance payment logic has been changed. Possibility of an advance payment is determined by providing list of services that support advance
  • Completion of «Expressbank loan» service refinement to repay the loan out of schedule/early payment, allowing the payer to choose payment scenario on a schedule or out of schedule, taking into account the availability of the necessary amount of funds on the account
  • Implementation of the automatic payment in case of inactivity of the user after inserting the amount. Refinement carried out within the back office and kiosk software, allows to customize the timer for payment transferring into account after certain time in seconds
  • Adding rules for compiling details
  • Implementation of new offline service - «Expressbank - Loan application», with the function of sending completed application to a specific E-mail address of the bank, depending on the type of loan. It is possible to select receipt template, configure the frequency of sending collected applications
  • Implementation of payment functionality for Aztelekom/BTRİB services only in if there is no debt on other services. Functionality also covers other service providers
  • Setting up flexible system for dispensing change, with the possibility of transferring amounts from one service to another or dispensing change card
